Who we are
Official Inspection Station was founded in San Antonio, Texas in 1985 by J. W. Barnes. His motivation to start this company was spawned out of frustration he observed from local repair shop inspectors. He found that they frequently ran out of stickers or didn’t follow their posted hours. He wanted to make something convenient and simple that would benefit all vehicle owners.
For the last 25 years, San Antonians have been getting their vehicles’ yearly check up – or state inspection – at one of Official Inspection Station’s convenient locations. Official Inspection Station is well known for our efficient, thorough safety inspection service.
